We recently ordered a new device called the Joye 510 that will be for sale shortly.  I ordered a few demo models to try out, just to make sure they are worth selling.  I have to say that not only are they worth selling they are the best device I have ever used.  It is no secret that I have both the GG and the Screw Driver.  I have always thought that a manual battery corrects a lot of the inherent flaws with electronic cigarettes.  The diaphragms that stick open and burn up atomizers and drain batteries is in my opinion the biggest design flaw with these devices.  Any manual battery is better than an automatic in my opinion.

But while using both the Screw Driver and the GG I noticed a lot of finicky little things that bothered me.  Both of those devices have very frequent mis-fires, meaning you press the button and nothing happens.  They also take a lot of care and maintenance to work.  The Joye 510 eliminates those problems and works like a champ.  Unlike those devices it does have a small battery that won’t last all day long, but so far it hasn’t been a problem for me at all.  Because the battery is small it also charges very quickly, and long before the other battery runs out.  Like all of our kits it does come with 2 atomizers and 2 batteries, so if something does happen at least you won’t be without a device to use.  The battery is also completely sealed so it is drip friendly.

Another really cool thing about the Joye 510 is the option for a carrying case that will recharge you batteries.  After charging the carrying case it will recharge 2 batteries and also hold a spare atomizer and 2 spare carts.  Since getting this device I have given away my $200.00 GG and the Screw Driver will be gone soon enough.  This is my new device and I can’t see myself changing any time soon.  I know a push button manual battery isn’t for everyone, but I think it is by far the best way to go.

One of the questions I get asked the most is, how to refill cartridges. I don’t know if there is a right or wrong way to do it; and everyone has different needs, so the best I can do is tell you how I do it and give some tips. The DSE901 and the Pen style are essentially the same so I will explain them together. The rn4081 is a different animal so I will have to explain it separately.

To start with the 901 and pen style it is very easy. The liquid container on the cart is easily accessible and sticks out of the end of the cart. In the picture below you can see the entire cart. They come with a hard plastic cover over a rubber seal. Take both of those covers off and you can see the wick material inside of the liquid container. All you have to do it take your bottle of smoke juice and start adding drops of liquid slowly until you can see liquid at the top of the cart. Place the cart back onto your atomizer and you are ready to go. Once you notice the vapor production going down you will probably need to add a couple of more drops. The wick material will not completely drain the liquid from the cart, so after about 10 puffs maybe less you will need to add more liquid. 1 bottle of liquid last me about 3 weeks. I was a pack a day smoker, so that give you an idea about how long a bottle should last for you. If you travel or need extra carts handy just fill a few and put the rubber seal and plastic cover back on for safe keeping. You should also keep filled carts in a plastic bag in case they happen to leak.

For the RN4081 or super mini (same thing) there are 2 ways to refill. The first is the same as above but you have to be careful not to drip liquid onto the inside of the cart. The liquid container for the rn4081 is recessed into the cart and is slightly harder to refill. The other thing you can and probably should do with a super mini is take a paper clip and push it through the small opening at the top of the cart and push the liquid container out to the end of the cart when refilling. That will help to not get liquid onto the inside of the cart. And again same as above. Put the cart back on your atomizer and you are ready to go.

Refilling e cigarette cartridges is very easy, as you can tell. It also happens to be a ton cheaper than buying pre-filled carts.

I like a lot of vapor and a lot of flavor so I keep my carts pretty well filled up. That can lead to some overflow into the atomizer so that is why I drain them. It probably isn’t wise to use that much liquid because the liquid can drain into your battery and cause a problem. If you are using a super e cig you definitely don’t want to over fill because the liquid will go into the mouth piece and into your mouth. YOU DON’T WANT THAT!

Other than that I don’t really do anything with my atomizers and they are lasting up to 6 months. Just keep in mind that both the batteries and the atomizers are consumables and won’t last forever. Vapor volume goes down over time also, and most atomizers need to be replaced every month.  Some even recommend that you replace them every 2 weeks.  We do have a 30 day return for any defective parts though so you don’t need to worry about getting a bad product. The first and most popular device that we sell is the super mini e cigarette, also known as the RN4081. It is 102mm long and looks the most like a regular cigarette. One of the reasons that it is so popular is because of its appearance. People tell me every day that they want a device that looks like what they are used to. The super mini e cigarette is a great little device that is best used with prefilled cartridges. I use mine mostly when I am away from home and can just throw a couple of boxes of carts in the car. The reason I say it is best used with cart is that refilling them with liquid is a pain, and can get very sloppy. To refill them right you need to take the sponge part out of the cartridge and fill it with liquid but make very sure you don’t over fill. If you overfill it will leak up into the mouthpiece and you run the risk of getting liquid into you mouth. The super mini is best for people who don’t want to be bothered with refilling their own and want something that is easy. My experience shows me that the cartridges are equal to about 6 regular cigarettes but if you are refilling them they don’t last as long because of fear of over filling. Batteries last between 3-4 hours depending on use. It is always a good idea to have an extra battery with every e cigarette.

The second e cigarette that we sell is the pen style or RN4072. The pen style is 155.5mm long and looks the least like a real cigarette. Both the atomizer and the battery are longer on the pen style making it our longest e cigarette. The best feature of the pen style is the size of the cartridge. It is massive and holds a lot of liquid. Each cartridge is about the equivalent of a whole pack of cigarettes. That makes the pen style cheaper to operate than the super mini when you are just buying cartridges for it. The cartridges are also very easy to refill, they pop right out and you have direct access to the liquid container. Refilling with liquid makes your e smoking experience far less expensive. When I use only the pen style I can smoke for about 30.00 worth of liquid a month. And with today’s prices for cigarettes that is half the cost of a carton of smokes. Our pen style e cigarettes just like the super mini come with 2 atomizers so you are always ready to go, but again it is never a bad idea to have an extra battery and pen style atomizer laying around just in case.

Our third and my favorite e cigarette is the DSE901. It is my favorite because it combines all of the good things about the super mini and the pen style. It is 119.5mm long and has a large easily accessible cartridge for refilling or for popping on a new one. You can get them in white so they look like a regular cigarette or in fancy colors so they show a little flair. The one that I primarily use is stainless steel or sometimes called platinum with a black cart. Most people say that the pen style creates the most vapor of any e cigarette but from my experience the 901 creates just as much vapor of a higher quality. The atomizer seems to burn a little bit hotter which uses less liquid and gives a nice texture to the vapor. I love using all different flavors of liquid and when I use them in the DSE 901 it really pulls out the flavor of the liquid better than any other device. If I were starting out today the 901 would be my first choice among all of the devices I have used. It is the cheapest to run and gives me everything I want out of an e cigarette.

The black DSE901 is also very nice looking and I especially like the green LED. I know the DSE901 is a favorite in the vaping community and that is why I ordered them. I hope that everyone gets a chance to look at them in the shop before they are all gone; we only got an order of 50 to start. If it looks like they will be big sellers then I will continue to keep them in stock for everyone. I did order enough spare parts in case there are any problems, but from what I hear they are a very solid unit with few surprises. I also got some white atomizers by mistake and agreed to keep them so if you already have a DSE901 and white and need a new atomizer we have them.

We also got blank cartridges and some new e juice with the shipment so take a look at that also. The rn4072 gives a great throat hit of vapor and for me is great when I want to relax and just smoke. I use the super mini’s more like a constant puffer and the pen style like a cigarette. Deciding what you want out of an electronic cigarette is completely up to you but I highly recommend the pen style if you feel comfortable with your device not looking like a cigarette. It really doesn’t take long to start being disgusted by tobacco when you give either style a good couple of days without using tobacco. I have found it really strange to even light a cigarette anymore and I am always disappointed with them. It take an effort, but all good things do.

I can smoke mine all day long on the 2 batteries provided and not have to recharge them at all. And with a charged battery and new cartridge I get a full mouth full of flavorful vapor every time I take a puff. I also smoke both of them at the same time to make sure that the atomizer never gets too hot. The above being said, there is a learning curve to using an e cigarette. Yes it smokes great but it also looks great. The wood grain is gorgeous, and there is no way anyone would know it wasn’t a real pipe without trying to light it. Alright maybe the little red LED would give it away, but other than that it looks lust like the real thing. I can remember as a kid buying pipe tobacco for my father and loving how great it smelled. I always hated the way his cigarettes smelled but loved the smell when he would light up his pipe. There is no smell with this one but there is a great flavor that any smoker and especially a pipe smoker would love.

However, part of your calculations in deciding if the electronic cigarette is right for you should include the cost of replacement atomizers. On average they will last over 6 months so figure that cost into your total ownership.
